Welcome to another year of great golf with our fearless leader Al Adams. This year we golf at Westhaven Golf Club on Monday, May 13, 2024. Registration opens at 11am, lunch at 11:45am and shotgun start at 1pm.

Listed below are our golf captains and teams. Every year they raise $5,000 per team and donate it all to Mercy Community Healthcare. Teams use a peer-to-peer fundraising model, which means they ask their friends and family to support them at Golf with Mercy. If you are a business and would like to sponsor Golf with Mercy, look at our Sponsor Packet below or make a donation to one of the great teams listed below.

Here's where the money goes:

 $125 pays for a mental health counseling appt

$250 pays for sick-visits for two children

$500 pays for annual visits for a family of four

$750 pays for a year of pediatric well-visits and vaccinations

$1,500 pays for monthly school-based counseling to a student for an entire school year

MONICA GARVEY

Our team supports Mercy Community Healthcare because we believe in the mission of Mercy! Children and adults alike deserve quality, affordable healthcare, counseling and other social services. Support of Mercy makes this possible for the uninsured and underinsured in our communities.

Monica’s Masters is led by Team Captain, Monica Garvey.  Monica and her husband, Paul Garvey, are inaugural supporters of Golf with Mercy, now in its 6th year.  Not only is Monica a longtime volunteer, committee member, and team captain for this event, but she also is a recent retiree of Mercy Community Healthcare where she served in several leadership roles. The team is rounded out with John and Karin Moughler, who join Golf with Mercy for the third year and have contributed as sponsors & fundraisers.

Mercy depends on more than $1 million in donations each year to continue helping children and families. Please consider a donation to Monica’s Masters for the 2024 Golf with Mercy fundraising event. Any amount is great - no amount is too large or too small! Thank you for your support!

TOMMY WILKINS

CoroMed has participated in the Golf with Mercy for the past few years. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to partner with such a great organization that does so much to support our local community. This really hits close to home, as we have a currently employee and friend that relied heavily on Mercy services before becoming apart of the CoroMed family.

JESSE LARRISON

As a Member of the Mercy Community Health Advisory Board, my desire to serve exists because our family shares in Mercy's vision to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus by providing excellent healthcare to everyone, including those who cannot afford quality healthcare.

My other teammates this year are equally passionate for this mission: Phil Clark serves as a Mercy Board Member and is a longtime supporter of Mercy. Hamilton Bowman, serves on the Williamson Health Foundation Board of Directors. He supported Mercy in the past. Matt Ellis joins us for the 2nd year in a row to support the Golf with Mercy Fundraiser.

PHIL BOLGER

Phil is pictured on the right side of his team, The Bolger Fore!

We support Mercy because their mission has such a meaningful and unique purpose. Mercy provides healthcare to ALL, regardless of one’s ability to pay or insurance status. Their approach, integrated physical, mental and spiritual care, to address the whole person is so important.

Best Golf Story: Three years ago, after playing golf for decades, I made my first hole in one on #7 at the Governors Club, a 150 yard shot with a 7 iron!

JAY BARBERA

We wholeheartedly support Mercy Community Health because we deeply align with their mission, which addresses the holistic well-being of individuals encompassing mental, physical and spiritual dimensions. By championing these aspects, Mercy Community Healthcare not only fosters healthier communities but also promotes a comprehensive approach to wellness that resonates with our values and beliefs.

Despite my lack of skill on the golf course, I miraculously scored a hole-in-one on the fifth hole at The Little Course (165 yds). In a moment of jest, I bet my son a car! I fulfilled my promise by presenting him with a matchbox car, to his disappointment and my relief. He was 11 at the time.

Raised = $2,500

PATTERSON WARE

I graduated from Auburn University in 2022 and currently work alongside Brad Caldwell at CAPTRUST. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in supporting Auburn athletics, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.

I support Mercy Community Healthcare's mission to provide exemplified care and kindness towards others as Jesus did, and I look forward to continuing to support their endeavors in serving our community.

One of my favorite golf memories was witnessing a friend turn what seemed like a wayward shot into a miraculous hole-in-one after blading his tee shot up a hill and through a bunker only to pop out and run back down the green into the hole.

Raised = $250

RICK FAGNANI

Rick has supported Golf with Mercy for many years and is so excited to be back again! Support Rick's team right here!
