Mercy Spiritual Care
Spirituality at Mercy
As a patient-centered and prayer-driven medical home, Mercy serves each person with the hands and feet of Jesus for true spiritual care.
We have a Mercy Prayer Team, who meet weekly and pray our patients and our staff. They gather up all the prayer requests inserted into one of four prayer walls and pray for you.
To better care for our patients, we also care for each other. Mercy hosts a weekly Bible Study for our staff to share the ministry of Jesus with each other.
Our mission: Mercy exists to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing excellent healthcare to ALL and support to their families.

Patient Story, Believe in Miracles
Kelly Graham, a Mercy patient, had a deposit of amyloid in one of the blood vessels in his brain. This deposit caused a hemorrhagic stroke. Now, Kelly, fiercely independent, is dependent on others to walk, talk and perform basic activities of daily living. But that’s not the story we are telling today. We are telling a recovery story.
Kelly, his wife Cristi and his daughter Tori began the long road to recovery and formed Team Kelly~ Believe in Miracles. This journey includes countless medication adjustments, his Mercy primary care team, a host of physical therapists, speech therapist, occupational therapist and a neurologist. At Mercy, Dr. Gibson and the family usually wrapped up Kelly's appointment in prayer.
Fast forward to Labor Day. It’s a perfect day for the Mercy Franklin Classic, slightly overcast skies, perfect temperature with a roomy and relatively flat course for Middle Tennessee. Kelly Graham, a 65 year-old hemorrhagic stroke survivor completes something never considered possible seven months prior, finishes the Mercy Franklin 5k independently.
The power of prayer never stops! Thank you Kelly for letting us care for you and pray with you!
Partner with Mercy
At Mercy, we partner with area church to provide primary care and mental health care to their church members. Mercy also has a program called Patient & Family Support. Here we connect patients to necessary services in the community including medical referrals and social service programs.
