Professional Description/Interest:
I have over twenty years of experience working clinically with children, youths and families as well as serving in mental health consulting, supervisory, managerial and administrative roles. I've worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, therapeutic day school, state government and private nonprofits. My strengths lie in my ability to assess needs and strengths, genuinely engage people, work from a systems, strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective and successfully advocate for the best interest of clients. I am trained in the use of EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and incorporate a client-centered approach in my work. I have a particular interest and expertise in working with blended, foster and adoptive families, particularly from a trauma-informed perspective. I am passionate about helping people navigate through and rise above difficult life circumstances to become and embrace all that God created them to be and to do.

I was drawn to work at Mercy because it is a Christ-centered organization with a reputation for quality mental and behavioral health services.
