Professional Description/Interest:
I enjoy all things PLAY! Play is the language of children, and through this medium I am able to support children and adolescents grow and find successes. From LEGO to Animal Assisted Play with special four-legged friends, I partner with children within their school-environment to support overall wellbeing. I very much enjoy being integrated with in the community and the schools to further support mental health and eliminate barriers to service. It is wonderful seeing children increase their self-confidence, learn life-long coping skills, and grow academically.
Why do you work at Mercy?:
I work for Mercy because they meet each client where they are at spiritually, emotionally, and physically (i.e. hometown and schools). I love serving in the same community in which I grew-up and currently live. It is so much fun going to work each day knowing that I am able to serve my community while being surrounding by the most amazing team of fellow therapists who feel more like friends than co-workers.
Personal Information:
I married my high-school sweet heart, have one teenage son, and 3 Australian Shepherds. I lived in the Midwest (Michigan, Ohio, & Wisconsin) for 15 years prior to moving back home (TN) in 2019. I am a huge Titans Fan and cheer them on every game day!
